Lepas launches new L6 SUV locally

Lepas has introduced the all-new L6 to South Africa, expanding its line-up with a larger and more feature-rich SUV. Positioned above the L4, the L6 arrives with bold styling, advanced technology and a choice of two derivatives, Javan and Pantera.

26 Lpas L1

What is it?

The L6 is a new addition to the Lepas range rather than a facelift. It builds on the foundation set by the L4, offering more space, stronger presence and a broader specification. Measuring 4 554 mm in length with a 2 700 mm wheelbase, it is designed to compete in the compact to mid-size SUV segment.

Exterior:

The design draws inspiration from the agility of a leopard, reflected in confident proportions and crisp detailing. Both derivatives feature 19-inch alloy-wheels, LED headlights, daytime running lights and taillights. Roof rails add practicality, while a rear spoiler and dual exhaust outlets enhance the sportier look. The Pantera derivative adds further exterior refinements to distinguish itself as the flagship.

Interior:

Inside, the L6 offers a spacious five-seat cabin finished in black with faux-leather upholstery. Standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, a 13.2-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50 W wireless charging pad and a 540-degree HD surround-view camera system. The Pantera adds heated and ventilated front seats with lumbar support, an eight-speaker Sony audio system, ambient lighting and advanced air purification. Practicality is supported by 435 litres of luggage space, expanding to 1 255 litres with the second row folded.

Powertrains:

Both Javan and Pantera derivatives are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 108kW and 225Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Drivers can select Eco, Normal or Sport modes. Claimed combined fuel consumption is 7.2 L/100 km.

Price and warranty:

The L6 Javan is priced at R469 900, while the Pantera costs R499 900. All derivatives include a five-year/150 000 km warranty, a 10-year/1 000 000 km engine warranty and a five-year/75 000 km service plan.
