What is it?

The MU-X 1.9 LS 4x4 is a new derivative in the line-up. It is designed to strengthen Isuzu’s position in the SUV market by offering a balance of everyday usability and genuine off-road ability, the manufacturer says.

Exterior:

The MU-X comes with 235 mm ground clearance, an 800 mm wading depth and favourable approach and departure angles, making it suitable for rough terrain. A selectable four-wheel-drive system, rear differential lock, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control add capability.

The cabin seats seven and is fitted with partial leather trim. The driver’s seat has eight-way power adjustment, while the front passenger seat offers four-way adjustment. A nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. USB charging ports are available for both front and rear passengers. Flexible second- and third-row seating configurations add practicality for families.

Powertrain:

The MU-X is powered by a 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine producing 110 kW and 350 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine is tuned for efficiency while still providing towing capacity and responsive performance.
