Head Office Management Accountant - Automotive

We are looking for an experienced and highly detail-oriented Head Office Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team within the automotive import and distribution sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, management accounts, fixed asset management, imports, foreign exchange, intercompany transactions, compliance and audit preparation, while providing accurate financial insights to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end reporting packs, management accounts and presentations
- Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to management
- Generate reports using Power BI and MS Excel
- Manage intercompany and related-party loans and transactions
- Account for USD transactions, foreign exchange movements and interest calculations
- Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting documentation
- Maintain audit files and prepare monthly audit reconciliations
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation and CAPEX approvals
- Manage Right of Use Assets and liabilities in accordance with IFRS 16
- Support import-related accounting and Production Rebate Certificate processing
- Review supplier pricing, standard costs and related General Ledger provisions
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting, tax and regulatory requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the automotive industry or a multinational trading environment
- Relevant BCom degree or equivalent university qualification
- CIMA qualification would be advantageous
- Strong exposure to:
- Fixed Assets
- Right of Use Assets
- Import and Standard Cost Accounting
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Provisions
- Banking and Foreign Exchange
- VAT and Tax
- Audit
- Strong experience preparing and presenting Management Accounts
- Proficient in Power BI, Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- Experience working with MS Business Central / DealerBox advantageous
- Strong presentation skills
