JHB888 - Finance Manager – Passenger Vehicle Dealership Ballito – KwaZulu Natal
An experienced and hands-on Finance Manager is required for a busy passenger vehicle dealership. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the dealership's finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and the independent completion of month-end processes. This position requires a strong personality, excellent leadership ability, and the confidence to manage financial operations with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Dealership Finance Manager with a solid finance qualification, strong technical accounting expertise, and proven experience using Drive, ADP, or Kerridge. They must be capable of independently managing the dealership's finance department and ensuring accurate, timely month-end reporting. Prior dealership Finance Manager experience is essential.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Oversee the dealership's full finance function
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Complete month-end and year-end processes
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping up to trial balance
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance
Debtors & Creditors
- Manage debtor collections and aging analyses
- Control creditor payments and reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounts payable and receivable records
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Manage all FICA-related reporting and requirements
- Prepare and submit statutory reporting where applicable
- Maintain audit-ready financial records
Dealership Financial Operations
- Monitor vehicle stock and floorplan controls
- Reconcile manufacturer accounts and incentives
- Manage vehicle costing and related dealership financial transactions
- Support operational departments with financial analysis and reporting
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related Finance qualification (Non-Negotiable)
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager within a motor dealership environment
Strong experience in:
- Debtors Management
- Creditors Management
- Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
- General Ledger Reconciliations
- Cashbook Management
- Financial Reporting
- Experience with FICA reporting and compliance
Experience using one of the following dealership systems:
- Drive
- ADP
- Kerridge
- Ability to independently manage and close month-end financials
- Motor Industry experience Essential
