October 2026 “Win a Vezopay ring” Competition Terms and conditions

This Competition is organised by Vezopay (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration No: 2016/190048/07) (“Vezopay”) situated at 134 7th Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, 1609, South Africa and Absa Bank Limited (Registration No 1986/004794/06) situated on the 6th Floor, Absa Towers, 170 Main Street Johannesburg, South Africa (“Absa”) (“Organisers”). The terms and conditions set out in this document apply solely to the October 2026 “Win a Vezopay ring” promotional competition (“Competition”) offered by the Organisers.
The Competition will be conducted in terms of the applicable law (including the Consumer Protection Act of 2008 and the Protection of Personal Information Act of 2013) and starts at 07:00 on 14 October 2026 and ends at 20:00 on 15 October 2026 (both dates and times inclusive) (“Competition Period”). The Competition Period may vary at the sole discretion of the Organisers. In such event, the Organisers will announce the variation in writing (at least at the location/s where these terms and conditions are published) to the Participants, and, after publication of the announcement about the variation in the Competition Period, any entries received before or after the Competition Period will not qualify, are invalid and will, therefore, not be considered for the purpose of selecting the winner/s under this Competition.
The Organisers may revise these terms and conditions. In such event, the Organisers will announce the revision in writing (at least at the location/s where these terms and conditions are published) to the Participants, and any entries received by the Organisers after the announcement of the revision will be subject to the revised terms and conditions.
Participants will have no claim against the Organisers or the Organiser’s representatives because of the variation of these terms and conditions according to their relevant provisions.
By participating in the Competition, Participants are deemed to have read, understood and accepted be bound by these terms and conditions. Information regarding the Competition that is published on the Organisers’ authorised advertising material will also form part of these terms and conditions.
Organisers’ decisions regarding any matter relating to the Competition will be final and binding on Participants and no further correspondence will be entered into in that regard.

Who is the Participant?

To qualify as a participant (“Participant” / “you” / “your”) and a potential winner, you must:

be a natural person (not a juristic entity);
be 18 years or older;
be a delegate at the SA Autoweek conference (“Conference”) from 14 October until 15 October;
register at the Vezopay stand and
participate in the racing simulator setup in the hospitality area of the Absa Red lounge.
not be:
1. directors, members, partners, employees, agents, or consultants of the Organisers’ subsidiaries, holding companies, divisions and/or associated companies or of the advertising or promotion agencies or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or

is controlled by the Organisers (or family members of such parsons/parties, as applicable); or

spouses, life partners, immediate family members or business partners of directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of the Organisers’ employees.

How to enter/participate in the competition?

A person who meets the requirements of clause 8 above, will qualify as a Participant, and entitled to potential nomination as a winner in the Competition.

Selection of winners
- The winners will be determined among the Participants on 14 October 2026 (five winners) and 15 October 2026 (five winners). The announcement of the winners will also take place on 14 and 15 October 2026.
- The winners will be the ten Participants who performed the fastest lap around a pre-setup course.
- The Organisers will announce five winners on 14 October 2026 and five winners on 15 October 2026 at the Conference. If this is not possible, the winners will be contacted directly by Absa’s activation agency, Playmakers, between 16 and 19 October 2026

Prize

Each winner will win one Vezopay payment ring valued at R 3 000 each.

Publicity and data privacy
- By participating in the Competition, each Participant agrees to share their relevant personal information with the Organisers and their agents to the extent necessary to enable the Organisers to conduct the Competition and for the prizes to be delivered successfully to the winners.
- The Organisers may request that images/likeness of the winner be taken for publicity and advertising purposes, without the winner being entitled to any payment in consideration for such images. If you initially consent that your images/likeness, be taken for publicity and advertising purposes, you may withdraw that consent later but before your images/likeness are used by the Organisers.
- For the sake of clarity, all personal information relating to Participants will be used solely for the purpose of this Competition and in accordance with the relevant data protection legislation. Such personal information may be shared with third parties which/whom the Organiser’s have appointed to process the personal information on their behalf solely for the purpose of the Competition and no other purpose. You consent to this when you become a Participant. The Participant may decline to give their consent and/or (after having given it) may withdraw their consent in relation to this Competition at any time during the Competition Period.
- Participants understand and agree that they have no entitlement to royalties of the Organisers whatsoever, payment for pictures, videos, live feeds, recordings and the like captured of their participation of the Competition or profits made by Organisers for sales, public exposure or otherwise emanating from the content of or involving Participants that are used as aforesaid and the Participants hereby waive all claims for same and indemnify the Organisers from such claim now and in future.
General
- The Organisers reserve the right to shorten, extend, suspend the period of the Competition or terminate the Competition without having chosen a winner whenever it should so choose for technical, commercial, or operational reasons, or for reasons beyond its control or generally for any reason whatsoever within their sole discretion. In such an event, all Participants waive any rights that they may have/purport to have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no right or recourse against the Organisers whatsoever in this regard. If this situation arises, then the Organisers will announce their decision for that purpose during the Conference but before the winners are due for announcement.
- The Participant waives any right which she/he may have against the Organisers as a result of such cancellation, suspension or termination of the Competition (as contemplated in 12.a) and completely indemnifies the Organisers from any claim arising therefrom.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in this Competition, the Participant indemnifies, releases and agrees to hold harmless the Organisers, their associated, holding and subsidiary companies, and their directors, officers, agents, representatives, shareholders, employees, successors and assigns from any and all claims or liability arising from participating in the Competition.
- To the extent permitted by law, the Organisers will not be liable in any way whatsoever for any claims arising from inaccurate information supplied by Participants. By participating in this Competition, Participants commit to always providing the Organisers with correct information.
- RSA law shall govern these Competition terms and conditions, and the Courts of the RSA shall have jurisdiction.
