What is it?

Previously, the V-Class was designed specifically with private customers in mind, whereas the rest of the line-up – the commercial Vito, Sprinter and eSprinter – was created for business applications. While the V-Class remains the ultimate luxury van, the Select focuses on versatility and play, providing a dynamic, engaging, yet still premium experience at a differentiated price point, says the manufacturer.

Exterior:

Along with a colour-coded bumper and chromed radiator grille, the Select is available in eight colour options and three wheel-variations, allowing customers to express their unique styles.

For wheels, customers can choose from the standard 17-inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheels, 17-inch 5-twin-spoke wheels (at no additional cost, available on both Mixto and Tourer), or a 20-spoke light-alloy wheel (at no additional cost, available on the Tourer only).

Mixto:

The Mixto offers space for up to five passengers, while reserving 4.1 cubic metres of load volume in the back. This makes the Mixto the ideal vehicle for sports enthusiasts, adventurers and hobbyists who need plenty of room to store everything from bicycles to camping gear and luggage.

Tourer:

The Tourer accommodates up to eight passengers, with ample room for luggage in the back. It is perfect for large families, socialites, or high-end shuttle services. Flexible seating arrangements allow the first row of seats to be turned to face the rear, creating a lounge-like experience in the back. Additionally, the back row of seats can be removed, making room for up to five passengers with significantly more luggage space.

Specs:

Inside, the vehicle features a redesigned instrument panel with the MBUX multimedia system, a 10.25-inch touch display, a 5.5-inch TFT display. The cockpit also includes a wireless smartphone charging station, a heated multi-function steering wheel and electric seat controls with a memory function. All seats are upholstered in faux black leather. For added ease of use, the Select offers an electric tailgate and electric sliding doors.

Engine:

Under the bonnet, the Select houses an MU6 Engine type, paired with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The 2-litre turbodiesel engine delivers 140kW and 440Nm of torque.

Prices:

Mixto Select (R1 264 200) and the Tourer Select (R1 360 000).
