Audi South Africa introduced the new Audi S3 Sportback and S3 Sedan with increased performance, a torque splitter, advanced driving dynamics and a sharpened design.
What is it?
More than just a product upgrade, the latest Audi S3 delivers greater output, innovative technology and distinctive styling that underline its position as a premium compact performance model with two models launched – the Audi S3 Sportback TFSI quattro S tronic and the Audi S3 Sedan TFSI quattro S tronic.
Engine:
With the latest product upgrade, the 2.0 TFSI engine now delivers 245kW and 420Nm of torque. This increase of 32kW and 20Nm respectively, results in stronger acceleration and assured tractive power. The sprint from 0 to 100km/h is achieved in 4.7 seconds. The seven-speed S tronic transmission has been refined to provide sharper take-off and quicker gear shifts.
Under the skin:
The torque splitter in the S3 increases both agility and stability. This technology enables fully variable torque distribution between the rear wheels.
In addition to the familiar profiles (auto, comfort, dynamic, individual and efficiency), Audi drive select now includes dynamic plus mode which, as the name suggests, offers especially high driving dynamics. In this setting, torque is channelled primarily to the outer rear wheel, generating a controlled oversteer effect.
The new Audi S3 benefits from several detailed suspension refinements that enhance both agility and control. The S sport suspension is fitted as standard and lowers the body by 15mm compared to the Audi A3.
Exterior:
With this model upgrade, the Audi S3 presents a sportier and more focused appearance. The hexagonal frameless Singleframe grille now features a flatter and wider structure, highlighted by L-shaped design elements that emphasise the bold proportions.
The exterior design is further accentuated by new expressive metallic paint finishes, including District Green, Ascari Blue and Progressive Red. For those seeking greater individuality, Audi exclusive provides a curated selection of bespoke colours. For the first time, a polar matt Daytona Grey finish is available for the S3 range.
Interior:
The cabin reflects the Audi S3’s progressive spirit with new ambient lighting, a redesigned gear shifter and precision details such as laser-cut illuminated fabric panels in the doors. A black headlining, stainless steel pedals, illuminated door sills and contoured flat-bottomed leather steering wheel underline the sporty atmosphere. Sport seats with integrated headrests provide lateral support.
Technology highlights include a 10.1-inch touch display, Audi virtual cockpit and an inductive smartphone charger all come as standard. In addition to the two front USB C charging ports in the centre console, there are two additional ports in the rear as standard.
Optional features such as MMI navigation plus, head-up display and access to the in-car app store expand digital capability.

Comfort Package Pro: electrically adjustable heated mirrors with memory feature and electric front seats with memory feature.
Climate Control Package: three-zone automatic air conditioning with heated front seats.
