BMW iX3 crowned World Car of the Year 2026 as EVs lead the way

The first shipments of LDV’s new Terron 9 and D90, has just arrived in South Africa joining the existing T6k0 range of bakkies.
What is it?
The Terron 9 is the brand’s flagship bakkie range, with resemblance to the large North American bakkies of trucks as there are referred to over there. The D90 is a big SUV with all the bells and whistles expected in this class.
The LDV Terron 9 will be available in two models: Premium and Flagship, both designed to draw attention with its styling and a diesel mill under the bonnet.
Key features include 8-way electric heated, ventilated, massaging seats, a panoramic sunroof, ambient interior lighting, a heated steering wheel, front and rear differential locks and a rear tailgate with an integrated step.
The Terron 9 Flagship introduces market-first feature for South Africa in the shape of an openable rear panel, setting a new benchmark in the double-cab segment.
It is powered by a 2.5L turbo-diesel engine, a 4-cylinder single-turbo diesel unit, producing 163kW and 520 Nm of torque. It is paired with a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission.

The LDV D90 will be offered in a single, fully loaded Flagship specification.
It is powered by a 2.0L bi-turbo diesel engine, delivering-petrol engine producing 160kW of power and 500Nm of torque, with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
D90 Flagship features 3 independent differential locks, 8-way electric heated, ventilated, massaging front seats, ambient lighting, a 220V power socket, dual wireless charging pads, a 12.3” infotainment system and an integrated dash camera.
