What’s new?

The Elevate is Honda’s new mid-size SUV, designed and developed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific and manufactured by Honda Cars India Limited. It was developed under the grand concept of ‘Urban Freestyler’ with various lifestyles in mind in terms of usage.

Engine:

The Honda Elevate will be available in two derivatives – Comfort and Elegance – and is equipped with Honda’s 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine generating a power output of 89 kW and 145 Nm of torque. This is used in combination with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission in the Comfort and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) in the Elegance.

Exterior:

The Honda Elevate has generous overall proportions measuring 4 312 mm in length, 1 790 mm width, and it is 1 650 mm tall with either 17-inch alloy wheels for the Elegance and 16-inch steel wheels for the Comfort model. Honda also claims a class-leading luggage capacity of 458 litres.

The front look boasts a bold grille with the headlights linked by a chrome strip running underneath the bonnet line.

Viewed from the side, there are square wheel arches that are accentuated by the design lines on the body panels above them. The Elegance grade further stands out thanks to colour-coded lower door garnish.

The Elevate range is also available in six exterior colours, three Metallic and three Pearlescent: Lunar Silver (M), Meteoroid Grey (M), Radiant Red (M), Phoenix Orange (P), Obsidian Blue (P) and Platinum White (P).

Interior:

The interior has a premium SUV feel, with contemporary fabrics and soft-touch materials. The modern, minimalist aesthetic is created by the horizontal sweep of the instrument panel.

The Elevate model range includes a host of comfort and convenience features as standard, including automatic air-conditioning, smart keyless entry with walk-away locking*, rear parking sensors and a multi-angle reverse parking camera.

Another addition to the newcomer is the high resolution 8” touch-screen display audio that has been integrated into the instrument panel. The brand-new infotainment system also comes standard across the Elevate model range and gives users full functionality of a smartphone via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

The Elegance model further benefits from an exclusive 7-inch TFT multi-information display that provides essential driving information, as well as an integrated wireless smartphone charger located in the centre console.

Price:

Elevate 1.5 Comfort Manual (R369 900) and the Elevate 1.5 Elegance CVT (R429 900).
