RZ electrical vehicle from Lexus makes local debut

JAC Motors added a value-packed T8 Super-Lux double-cab bakkie to its existing T-range, fitting in between the T6 double-cab workhorse line-up and the imminent T9 range-topper.
What’s new?
The T8 2.0L CTI Super Lux double-cab, sporting a refreshed 2023 facelift, now offers R50 000 worth of additional factory-fitted features, all covered by the manufacturer's warranty while maintaining its retail price parity with the current T8 Lux range.
The 2023 facelift adds flair with a stylishly designed chrome-plated grille, Xenon headlamps with built-in LED Daytime Running Lights and Fog Lamps integrated into the front bumper.
The rugged appeal continues with bold black wheel arches, running boards and a style bar. For the 4x4 derivative, a customised black off-road style bar, rear step bumper and side steps enhance the look of the new T8 Super Lux.
The T8 Super Lux derivatives now come standard with factory-fitted electric sunroofs, automatic up and down for the windows, electric driver’s seat, leather seats and a central arm rest.
Extra safety features offered by the T8 Super Lux include an ISOFIX Child Restraint System with two baby seat mounting points and heated side mirrors for defrosting and enhancing rear visibility during cold winter mornings. A reverse camera, rear park distance sensors, remote keyless entry and central locking with auto door locks enhance the safety package.


Engine:
The T8 range continues with the 2.0-litre common-rail turbo-diesel engine delivering 104 kW and 320 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.

T8 2.0L CTI 4×2 Super Lux (R449 900) and the T8 2.0L CTI 4×4 Super Lux: R499 900.

An all-new double-cab bakkie with a 2.5-litre turbodiesel plug-in hybrid powertrain will find its way to South Africa.
