What is it?
Changan describes the Hunter as a rugged and capable bakkie with a modern design.
Exterior:
The Hunter has bold exterior styling, chrome accents and striking touches like LED headlamps, utility hooks and 18-inch alloys.
Engine:
At its core, lies a 2.0L turbo diesel engine, delivering 110kW and 350Nm of torque through either a smooth 6-speed manual (two-wheel drive) or 6-speed automatic transmission, on the four-wheel drive version.
Interior:
Inside it boasts premium leather seating, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen and multifunction steering wheel, while tactile console controls and soft-touch finishes elevate the everyday experience.
The Hunter is loaded with driver-focused technology, from keyless entry and start-stop functionality to cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring and traction systems that adapt to the terrain. The four-wheel drive version boasts low range capability and there are rear camera assistance and parking sensors.
Safety:
When it comes to safety, the Hunter has multiple airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist and hill descent control.
Price:
The top-of-the-range 4WD AT version is expected to retail in South Africa considerably below the R600 000 mark, and it’s backed by a 5-Year / 150 000km warranty.
