BMW iX3 crowned World Car of the Year 2026 as EVs lead the way
The BMW iX3 has been named World Car of the Year 2026, with the announcement made at the New York International Auto Show on 1 April.

Citroën South Africa announced an updated C3 range, now featuring advanced safety and comfort upgrades, along with a newly available high-performance six-speed automatic transmission.
What is it?
The updated C3 is the French automaker’s entry point into the popular crossover market and with the addition of a turbo model, it makes the range more competitive.
Inside and outside:
The latest versions bring a host of upgrades that elevate both driving comfort and safety. Select trims now feature automatic air conditioning, auto-folding rear-view mirrors and foldable roof grab handles for passengers. In addition, LED Vision projector headlamps and indicators integrated into the mirrors further enhance the vehicle's design and functionality.
The new C3 offers a wide range of customisation options, allowing customers to personalise their vehicles to suit their individual tastes. Metallic paint and a stylish dual-tone roof come at no extra charge.
Safety:
Safety has also been a major focus in this update. The new C3 comes equipped with six airbags, three-point seatbelts, ISOFIX seat anchors, ABS and EBD across the range. In addition, the new 6-speed automatic also features Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
New turbo engine:
For the first time, the C3 will now be available with a six-speed automatic transmission mated to Citroën's 1.2-litre Turbocharged PureTech engine delivering 81kW and 205Nm of torque from only 1 750 r/min. This engine and gearbox combination is only available in the range-topping C3 Max Turbo model.
