Suzuki has upgraded the Ignis approximately three years after it was first launched.
The updated Ignis features a refreshed look, which brings it in line with Suzuki’s
Refreshed SUV design language, also seen on models such as the new Suzuki S-Presso, the Vitara and the Jimny.
The Ignis has a new front-end design, including a new grille with a large S-emblem, additional chrome accents and a redesigned bumper with faux scuff plate and integrated fog lamps and additional chrome trim on the GLX-model.
As before, the GLX-models feature wrap-around daytime running lights with
Projector-style LED headlamps. GLX models also have added roof rails and flared
wheel arch extensions to help it stand out. The Ignis has a standard ground clearance of 180 mm.
At the rear, a similar scuff plate design replaces the previous black bumper insert. Two integrated upright reflectors round off the changes at the rear.
Suzuki has added new colours and colour combinations like the choice of silver or blue cabin accents, depending on the exterior colour, and the option of new two-tone colour combinations for adventurous Ignis owners.
As before, all versions of the Ignis are fitted with Suzuki’s 1.2 litre petrol engine with 61 kW and 113 Nm.
Prices (July 2020):
1.2 GL MT - R188 900
1.2 GLX MT - R216900
1.2 GLX AMT (automated manual) - R233 900
