Mitsubishi Motors South Africa’s (MMSA) consistent prioritisation of customer service, customer retention and a positive brand image has resulted in the South African subsidiary receiving numerous awards as part of Mitsubishi’s annual global after-sales business excellence programme.
The local operation has received recognition from Mitsubishi Motors Middle East & Africa as part of the brand’s annual global After-sales Business Excellence Programme, which measures service excellence by the local dealer network compared to that of other regions.
Mitsubishi Motors SA scooped a Gold award in the after-sales category for the 2023 financial year. This was accompanied by a special Diamond award, which recognises three consecutive Gold or Platinum performances in this category.
Both these awards were secured by constantly exceeding targets in after-sales, which includes measurables such as customer satisfaction and retention initiatives, spare parts and accessory performance.
For the first time, MMSA also competed in the sales and marketing category of the programme and here too it was awarded favourably.
The sales and marketing category of the programme measures factors such as public relations, external communication campaigns, sales excellence and the customer experience. Favourable scoring across all the categories resulted in an excellent score for the category.
In addition, Mitsubishi Motors South Africa received a special marketing award honouring it as the subsidiary with the best performance in the public relations category, measured against all other countries that form part of the region.
“In 2023, we expanded our scope of participation as we feel this programme is a great way of measuring ourselves against our peers in different markets. The programme measures our dealer network across a variety of performance sectors and this benchmark offers great insights for us as MMSA, as it allows us to determine where improvements can be made as we strive ‘Lifetime Customer Loyalty’,” says Jeffrey Allison, General Manager Marketing for Mitsubishi Motor South Africa.
Mitsubishi Motors South Africa has continued to prioritise the relationship with its dealer network by ensuring that dealers have all the tools required in order for them to perform optimally. Testament to the great relationship between Mitsubishi Motors South Africa and its dealer network is the fact that the network was once again awarded Gold at the recent NADA DSI awards.
“Our dealers are the face of our business and key to fostering long-term relationships with South African customers. The recent awards in both these programmes are testament to the initiatives put in place by MMSA to ensure that our dealers are well equipped and ready to serve customers to the best of their ability,” says Steven Terblans, General Manager: Aftersales at Mitsubishi Motor SA (MMSA).
Mitsubishi Motors SA currently offers one of the most exciting and extensive local product offerings in the history of the brand, and an excellent relationship between MMSA, its dealer network and their customers means that they are poised for success as they look forward to launching the all-new Triton later this year.
