After leading and contributing to an impressive 12 000 vehicle sales at Hyundai Automotive South Africa over a 16-year career, Siya Qamba has been rewarded with a senior executive role, effective January 2026.
Announcing Siya’s appointment as the new Regional Manager for the Gauteng East Region, Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa, says the promotion stands as a powerful reminder that exceptional results, matched with commitment and belief, can drive a career to extraordinary levels.
“Siya’s story is one of consistency, hard work and unparalleled commitment to the Hyundai brand in South Africa,” Stanley says. “His promotion is well deserved and serves as inspiration to many within our organisation who aspire to grow their careers through dedication and performance. From the entire Hyundai family, we congratulate him.”
Prior to this appointment, Siya served as Dealer Principal at Hyundai Boksburg. Reflecting on his new role, where he now manages eight dealerships comprising a total of 349 employees, he is under no illusion about the task ahead.
“I am grateful to the leaders and mentors who trusted, challenged and allowed me the space to grow. Selling is in my DNA, and nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing a customer leave our dealership happy, knowing I have delivered on the Hyundai promise. This new role is both an honour and a responsibility which I fully embrace with dedication.”
Siya’s journey with Hyundai Automotive South Africa began in 2006 as a Sales Executive at Hyundai East Rand. His commitment, exceptional performance and leadership qualities saw him rise steadily through the ranks. In 2010, he was appointed Branch Manager at Hyundai Bruma and later advanced to Dealer Principal at both Hyundai Heidelberg and Kia Heidelberg.
In 2017, he took on the role of Dealer Principal at Hyundai Bedfordview, leading the dealership with distinction for more than six years while delivering strong operational and business results. From 2023, he served as Dealer Principal at Hyundai Boksburg, further strengthening his regional expertise and leadership capabilities.
We Buy Cars has continued its involvement in youth skills development, with a recent group of learners completing sponsored programmes in partnership with SA Business School.
