Hino dominates customer experience survey

Hino South Africa not only continued its dominance in terms of coming out on top in the combined score in the comparative customer experience survey by DataTrack but also came first in the three evaluation categories – sales, service and parts supply – for the third quarter of 2023.

The combined score of 99.21 is one of the highest achieved by Hino in South Africa. Hino came out top in the sales segment study in the third quarter 2023 with a score of 99.76, as well as being top in service at 99.34 and No 1 in the parts survey, where the score was 98.51.

The DataTrack Comparative Truck Study is a quarterly survey that is arguably one of the longest running customer experience evaluations in the commercial vehicle market. It was conducted for the first time in 1989. The results are compiled based on feedback from more than 30 000 truck fleet operators regarding service levels of the OEMs in sales, service and parts.

DataTrack adjusts the methodology of the survey on an ongoing basis to ensure market relevance as a credible benchmark for the local truck industry. Another accolade recently came the way of Hino South Africa. On this occasion it was for its 500 Series model winning the Heavy Commercial Vehicle of the Year title at the annual naamsa Accelerator Awards ceremony.

“We are always pleased to receive positive feedback regarding the operations of our head office staff in Sandton and the countrywide dealer network. On this occasion, we did not once again only receive positive feedback from DataTrack, but we also won laurels in naamsa’s Accelerator Awards, which were distributed for the second year,” commented Anton Falck, Vice President of Hino SA.

“These achievements are further proof of the value of Hino’s global strategy of Total Support, which involves ongoing interaction between all parties involved, from Hino in Japan to Hino SA, our dealers and service providers as well as our customers. We all have one aim and that is to ensure a positive ownership experience.”
