This donation has been made possible through the Isuzu Foundation’s commitment to contribute R100 for every entry into the Isuzu IRONMAN 70.3 Mossel Bay event, which took place recently.

This collaboration exemplifies the Isuzu Foundation’s dedication to investing in local communities and supporting charities close to the heart of Isuzu dealers, employees and the general public.

Since the inception of its partnership with IRONMAN4theKidz in 2022, the Isuzu Foundation has funded over 22 charities, enabling essential resources in the areas of education, nutrition, healthcare, sports and critical infrastructure. Through this latest donation, the ISUZU Foundation continues to strengthen the bond with IRONMAN4theKidz to empower communities in which Isuzu operates.

“We are proud of our ongoing collaboration with IRONMAN4theKidz, a partnership that reflects our commitment to being a force for good in the communities in which we operate. Our contributions represent our dedication to uplifting lives, creating opportunities and helping to build a better future for all,” says Alastair Hodgson, Department Executive Business Enablement at Isuzu Motors South Africa.

The donation will benefit the following Mossel Bay charities:

  • Ethan: An education and training hub that addresses autism needs. Ethan supports children and families by providing guidance on managing the unique challenges of autism in Mossel Bay.
  • Eden Protocol: A programme that empowers underprivileged youth by fostering skills in swimming, surfing and lifesaving. Eden Protocol also provides a safe, welcoming space for children to complete homework, enjoy nutritious meals and participate in after-school activities at Power Town’s Day Care Centre.
  • Creating Effective Families: This organisation offers a safe haven for women and children affected by domestic violence, substance abuse and other traumatic circumstances. With a focus on guidance, protection and education, Creating Effective Families helps individuals heal and rebuild their lives.

“At IRONMAN4theKidz, we believe in the power of endurance, not just in sports but in making a real difference in children’s lives. Thanks to the Isuzu Foundation’s generous donation, we’re able to contribute to brighter futures and inspire hope in young lives. Every effort we make is dedicated to uplifting and empowering kids in need,” says Garth Wright, IRONMAN4theKidz Charity Trustee.
