VW Group on a cost-cutting drive
The Volkswagen Group (VW) plans to cut costs by 20 percent across all its brands by the end of 2028, a German business paper reported.

Volkswagen’s new SUV coupé, the Taigo, is now locally available and fits in between the T-Cross and the T-Roc in Volkswagen’s T SUV model range.
Three models, the Life, Style and R-Line, will all use the 1.0 TSI engine (3-cylinder turbo) with 85 kW and 200 Nm with drive going through a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
Standard features on the Life include LED taillights, a Digital Cockpit, 6.5-inch Composition Colour infotainment system with the Style version adding LED matrix headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels and a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, Active Info Display and an 8-inch Composition Media infotainment system.
In addition to the standard features in the Style, the Taigo R-Line comes standard with a black headliner, stainless steel pedals, privacy glass for rear side windows and rear windows as well as 17-inch Valencia alloy wheels. The top-of-the-range Taigo’s bumpers are distinguished by their striking R-Line design. In the front bumper, the high-gloss black cross and longitudinal bars of the air intakes convey a unique and charismatic sense of dynamism.
Taigo Life 1.0 TSI (R429 900), Taigo Style 1.0 TSI (R464 100) and the Taigo R-Line 1.0 TSI (R486 000).
