What’s new?

The Land Cruiser Prado has a new exterior design, combining the key design elements of the previous generation Land Cruiser.

The front end of the Land Cruiser Prado has quite an aggressive look with a rectangular grille, tri-beam headlights and muscular wheel arches.

The rear of the new Prado has a vertically orientated tailgate with silver lower bumpers at both the front end and rear end of the car.

The Prado is much longer, wider and sits a lot higher than its predecessor. This makes it the same length as the Land Cruiser 300. Like the Land Cruiser 300, it sits on a TNGA-F ladder frame chassis. This sophisticated chassis makes it more rigid that the current Prado.

The Prado has quite a minimalistic interior design with dual digital screens for both the instrument cluster and infotainment system.

As it is well known for its off the road performance, the new Land Cruiser has an improved suspension system with increased wheel articulation for off-roading. It features a new stabiliser-bar control system, which improves wheel articulation. The Prado has a multi-terrain monitor system that greatly improves off-road driving.

When it comes to performance, the new Prado will be powered by a plethora of turbocharged petrol- and diesel-based engines.

Pricing as well as performance and specification details will be made available when the car is introduced to South Africans in Q2 of 2024.
