Tata Motors South Africa plans to launch an additional two new models during the course of the year.
What is it?
Tata Motors South Africa looks to build on that momentum in 2026 with the launch of two new models that include the Tata Nexon (India’s best-selling SUV) and Tata Sierra during the year.
Tata Nexon:
The Tata Nexon is a compact crossover that will join the range between the Punch and Harrier in terms of size. The Tata Nexon features similar styling to its SUV family members.
Standout features include sequential LED daylight running lights, bi-function full LED headlamps and a dual tone roof.
The interior is distinguished by a two spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, a next-generation physical touch panel and a grand floor centre console.

Tata Sierra:
The Tata Sierra is set to join the range between the Curvv and top of the range Harrier when it launches in South Africa later this year.
This brand-new model aims to offer a fresh and distinctive take on the medium SUV design concept.
Exterior design highlights include Night Saber Bi-LED booster headlamps and Light Saber LED daytime running lights with welcome and goodbye functionality. At the rear, the Light Saber LED light signature is impossible to miss. It also has flush door handles, and 19-inch alloy wheels reinforce the inherent luxury.
The interior is defined by themed interiors, the segment’s largest sunroof and horizon view triple screens that stretch across the dashboard. A wide variety of storage areas and a segment leading boot space of 622 litres ensures inherent practicality.

Engines:
We could not receive conformation about engines specs and pricing, but elsewhere the Sierra is available with a choice between a 1500 turbopetrol or turbodiesel engines while the Nexon is available with a choice between 1200 or 1500 turbo and normally aspirated petrol engines.
Lexus South Africa new RZ, the brand’s first globally available, purpose-built battery electric vehicle (BEV), has arrived on local shores.
Chery’s luxury brand, a stand-alone nameplate has arrived in South Africa with more larger models (L8) that will be added to the Lepas line-up later.
An all-new double-cab bakkie with a 2.5-litre turbodiesel plug-in hybrid powertrain will find its way to South Africa.
