The Volkswagen Polo Sedan model range has been expanded with the addition of the 85 kW 1.0 TSI engine. The new engine will be offered with the Life and Style derivatives
What’s on offer in the Sedan?
The Polo Sedan Life comes standard with keyless entry and start, a rear view camera, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless mobile charging, wireless App-Connect, power adjustable and folding exterior mirrors, climatronic air conditioning, ambient lighting, leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, front fog lamps and cornering lights, a chrome package and 16-inch Scimitar alloy wheels.
The Polo Sedan Life is further equipped with Hill Start Assist and a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with shifting paddles.
In addition to the standard features of the Life derivative, the top derivative of the model range, the Style is offered with an 8-inch digital cockpit, rain sensor, tilt and slide sunroof, including black leatherette seats plus a two-piece folding rear seat bench, side and curtain airbags, front and rear centre airbags, including 17” Tritz Alloy wheels.
Engine:
The 85 kW 1.0 TSI engine delivers 178 Nm of torque between 1 750 and 4 500 r/min. It takes 11.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h and has a top speed of 190 km/h. Its claimed fuel consumption is 6.3 litres/100 km.
Exterior:
Although the same as before, the Polo Sedan is now available with an option of five exterior colours: solid paint (Candy White) and four metallic colours (Wild Cherry Red, Carbon Steel Grey, Reflex Silver and Rising Blue).
Price:
Polo Sedan Life 1.0 TSI 85 kW 6-Speed Tiptronic (R421 100) and the Polo Sedan Style 1.0 TSI 85 kW 6-Speed Tiptronic (R454 900).
