With a design-led and technology-focused approach, the model is aimed at younger, style-conscious buyers and is expected to reach South Africa in the second half of 2026, the manufacturer states.

The C4 introduces the brand’s Cyber Mecha design philosophy, combining futuristic styling with functional detail. Its assertive stance is defined by sharp lighting elements, sculpted bodywork and angular forms that create depth and movement.

“Cross-border design isn’t just about combining styles,” says Shannon Gahagan, National Brand and Marketing Manager for Omoda and Jaecoo South Africa. “It pushes us to rethink established norms and approach design more progressively.”

Inside, the focus shifts to connectivity and usability. The cockpit integrates hardware and software to deliver a more responsive driving experience. A 13.2-inch high-definition display anchors the cabin, supported by a 540-degree panoramic camera system and practical features such as 50W wireless charging.

Sixteen advanced driver-assistance systems simplify driving and parking, while a new AI-powered voice assistant introduces personalised interaction, including mood-based music recommendations.

The interior design mirrors the exterior’s futuristic aesthetic, with a wraparound cockpit layout and layered finishes that balance immersion with practicality.

The C4 will be offered with both internal combustion and hybrid powertrains, providing flexibility as markets shift towards more efficient mobility solutions. South Africa remains a key part of Omoda’s global expansion, with the C4 expected to strengthen the brand’s local SUV lineup.

“The C4 adds something new to our range,” comments Hans Greyling, General Manager of Omoda and Jaecoo South Africa. “It brings together the kind of design and technology our customers are looking for, while still delivering the value they’ve come to expect from the brand.”

Further details will be shared closer to the model’s South African launch in the latter half of 2026.
