What is new?
The B-SUV segment competitor is even more in tune with the times, Renault claims, with a new, more assertive design, a spirited 1.3L Turbo petrol engine, and OpenR Link infotainment system. The new Captur maintains two-tone body colours and generous interior space, along with a range of ingenious high-tech equipment.
Exterior:
The updated bold athletic design is complemented by the new brand identity and redesigned grille, enhanced lighting, a chiselled and sculpted hood, a new front and rear bumper and skid plates, together with new 18” and 19” alloy wheels.
The rear light housing is now transparent, revealing the inside of the lamps. Combined with the new logo and redesigned diffuser, this feature gives the rear end a more current look with a higher level of quality.
The Techno trim features 17-inch alloy wheels with a matt black paint trim on the lower body and beltline, long, black front and rear skid plates.
The higher Iconic trim features all-new 18-inch Black Hole alloy wheels and a High Gloss Black paint trim on the lower body and beltline.
And the new Esprit Alpine has Ice Black logos, High Gloss Black window surrounds, 19-inch Elixir wheels with a mesmerising design, aerodynamic splitter and front and rear skid plates with Slate Grey matt paintwork.
Interior:
The Captur’s functional features are still available as standard, with several additions, such as the manoeuvrability of the rear bench seat, which slides up to 16cm for greater practicality.
The instrument cluster display has been updated with advanced visual design while the infotainment system presents a 10.4” touchscreen across all trim levels, with onscreen capacitive buttons for heated seats on the top trim level and automatic air conditioning with piano buttons for climate control.
In the new Captur, all the upholstery includes recycled fabrics selected for their small carbon footprint, without compromising on quality, feel or comfort. The Esprit Alpine finish includes over 26% recycled and recyclable fabrics in its upholstery, through the use of bio-sourced materials such as grained cover material and hemp.
Engine:
The multi-sense driving modes synonymous with the Captur have been revised and re-energised for an optimal driving experience.
The three trim levels available are powered by a petrol 1.3L Turbo EDC, which delivers 113kW of power and 270Nm of torque.
The engine is connected to Renault’s Efficient Dual-Clutch transmission (EDC).
Prices:
Renault Captur 1.3L Techno EDC (R515 999), Renault Captur 1.3L Iconic EDC (R544 999) and the Renault Captur 1.3L Esprit Alpine EDC (R614 999).
