Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has added a new derivative to the Amarok bakkie model line-up.
What is new?
The Amarok Life 2.0 TDI with 125kW is now available with 4x2 drivetrain mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Exterior:
The new Amarok Life 2.0 TDI 4x2 comes well-equipped with a range of practical and premium features which include 17-inch Combra alloy wheels.
For added convenience and safety, the derivative features a power tailgate lock, trailer hitch, front and rear Park Distance Control, including a fixed rear-view camera. The seat trim covers are finished in durable fabric, and the load box is fitted with six tie-down hooks and integrated cargo lights on the sides, making it ideal for both family and work-related tasks.


Interior:
Inside, the Amarok Life features an 8-inch multifunction display with radio, six speakers and Bluetooth connectivity. Smartphone integration is seamless thanks to App-Connect (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto).
The Amarok Life includes a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and cruise control with a speed limiter. Safety is a priority, with LED headlights and Daytime Running Lights, as well as driver and front passenger airbags.
Engine:
The 2.0 TDI with a 125kW four-cylinder engine develops a maximum torque of 405Nm. The top speed is 180km/h, claims VW.
Price:
The VW Amarok 2.0 TDI 125kW costs R704 700.
