Tata’s passenger vehicles made a return to the South African market with some interesting models. Let’s take a closer look at what is available and at what price.

Tata Punch:
It’s a compact SUV or micro-SUV, and Tata says it was the best-selling vehicle in India during 2024.
The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron, three-cylinder engine that offers 65kW and 115Nm. The Punch will be available with both a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed Automated Manual Transmission.
Inside, all models feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and either a 7-inch infotainment screen by Harman or a floating 10.25-inch Infotainment system with four speakers and two tweeters.
Pricing: Tata Punch 1.2 Adventure MT (R244 900), Tata Punch 1.2 Adventure + S MT (R269 900), Tata Punch 1.2 Adventure + S AMT (R288 900), Tata Punch 1.2 Accomplished + AMT (R309 900) and the Tata Punch 1.2 Creative + AMT (R339 900).
Tata Curvv:
It’s an SUV-coupé that combines luxury, performance and advanced technology, claims the manufacturer.
The Curvv is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron engine, which benefits from turbocharging to deliver 88kW and 170Nm paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DCA that transfers power to the front wheels.
The range-topping Tata Curvv 1.2T Accomplished S adds Hill Descent Control, a six-way powered driver seat, front parking sensors, a 360-degree HD Camera, a subwoofer, mood lighting, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, leatherette seats, a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Price: Tata Curvv 1.2T Pure + MT (R349 900), Tata Curvv 1.2T Creative DCA (R419 900), and Tata Curvv 1.2T Accomplished S DCA (519 900).
Tata Harrier:
It’s the flagship premium SUV built on the Omega Arc platform, which is derived from the Land Rover D8 platform. The Harrier truly combines luxury, capability and global pedigree, Tata says.
The Harrier makes a statement with its bold and robust SUV design, 18-inch alloy wheels and a signature-connected LED tail lamp. Inside, the Harrier boasts luxury and innovation with a 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree surround view system and personally themed interiors with mood lighting.
Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre Kryotec, four-cylinder, turbodiesel engine delivering 125kW and 350Nm paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that can be controlled via dual paddle shifters.
