The Lepas L4 is a new premium compact SUV from the Chery Group. Styled with a bold, “leopard-inspired” design language, it targets tech-forward drivers who want premium finishes.

The L4 is rides on the advanced LEX platform, with an overall length of 4 400mm and a 2 700mm wheelbase.

Inside, a 13.2-inch portrait-oriented infotainment display running at 1440 x 1920 pixel resolution anchors a cabin equipped with wireless charging.

Under the bonnet is a 1500 turbopetrol-engine connected to a 6-speed DCT gearbox. The power output is 108kW and 225Nm torque.

Lepas enters the South African market with the full backing of Chery's established dealer footprint, ensuring parts availability and service support.

“South African consumers have been underserved in the compact premium segment for too long, paying a significant premium simply for a badge. The Lepas L4 changes that,” says Jay Jay Botes, General Manager at Chery South Africa.

“We are bringing genuine premium technology, a class-leading warranty, and full after-sales support at a price point that makes the decision easy.”

Prospective buyers can visit their nearest authorised Lepas dealerships located in Boksburg, Bloemfontein, Brakenfell, Bruma, Boksburg, Cape Town City, Clearwater, Centurion, George, East London, Gqeberha, Klerksdorp, Lenasia, Pinetown, Pretoria, Milnerton, Midrand, Middelburg, Table Bay, Trichardt, Silver Lakes, Umhlanga and Vanderbijlpark.
