Honda Motor Southern Africa has launched its new, third-generation Honda Amaze, which made its global debut in India in December 2024.

What is it?
The Amaze is a compact sedan featuring an array of standard features, a bold exterior design and an interior filled with the latest convenience technology. It also boasts a claimed class-leading boot capacity of 416 litres.
Line-up and engines:
Available in three derivatives — Trend, Comfort and Comfort CVT — the Amaze is powered by the tried-and-tested 1.2L SOHC i-VTEC engine, producing 66kW and 110Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
Exterior:
The Honda Amaze has a bold grille with a distinctive chequered pattern, LED headlights and a low stance. The front fascia is further enhanced by sleek design lines extending from the grille to the standard LED DRLs.
Standard LED headlights and taillights across the line-up, while the Comfort derivatives further enhance this with LED front fog lights. For added convenience and comfort, the Comfort derivatives also feature Automatic Headlights.
All derivatives of the All-New Honda Amaze are fitted with 15-inch alloy wheels. The Trend derivative features Sparkle Silver alloy wheels, while the Comfort derivatives boast Dual-Tone alloys.
Interior:
In keeping with Honda’s design philosophy of Man Maximum/Machine Minimum, the Amaze is designed around people.
There is a 7-inch Driver Display and Automatic Climate Control and a segment-first Smart Keyless Entry with Walk-Away Lock.
A major upgrade from its predecessor is the addition of an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay™ & Android Auto™. The Trend derivative features a 4-speaker high-quality audio system, while the Comfort derivatives upgrade to a 6-speaker set-up for an enhanced audio experience. Additionally, the Comfort derivatives include a 15W wireless smartphone charger as standard.
With its wider body (now 1 733mm — an increase of 38mm over the previous generation), rear passengers benefit from increased cabin space. In the Comfort CVT model, Remote Engine Start is included as standard.
Equipment (model dependent) :
It includes Rear Parking Sensors with Reverse Camera, Smart Keyless Entry with Walk-Away Lock, 6 SRS Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) & Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Hill Start Assist (HSA).

Amaze 1.2 Trend MT (R254 900), Amaze 1.2 Comfort MT (R274 900) and the Amaze 1.2 Comfort CVT (R294 900).
