What is it?
It replaces the previous P-Series Black Edition LS, and GWM has added models promising a greater combination of toughness, capability and a standout design for city, worksite or the adventure track.
Engine:
The new P300 LS carries the recently introduced 2.4-litre Turbo Diesel engine delivering 135kW and 480Nm of torque through a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The manufacturer claims a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes, which underscores its serious work credentials, easily handling everything from construction trailers to boats or off-road caravans.
Exterior:
A bold grille, distinctive wheel-arch flares and eye-catching 18-inch alloys give it an undeniable road presence. Upfront there are LED headlights and cornering function fog lamps, while subtle details like roof rails, fixed sidesteps and an electric-lock tailgate complete the profile.
Interior:
Inside the cab is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, complete with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto, which sits alongside a crisp 7-inch digital cluster, delivering all your key driving and entertainment data in clarity.
You’ll find smart tech like voice recognition, wireless charging and multiple USB ports to keep you connected. Other touches include a leather steering wheel, an interior fragrance system and six high quality speakers.
Safety systems:
The new P300 LS range features electronic stability control, traction control, hill start and downhill assist, trailer sway control and a reverse camera with dynamic parking, making tricky manoeuvres and heavy towing simpler and safer. Backing this up are ABS and EBD as well as multiple airbags.
Pricing:
P300 2.4TD LS A/T D/C (R529 900) and the P300 2.4TD LS 4x4 A/T D/C (R579 900).
