What is it?

The debut of the M8 Master marks a defining moment, introducing South Africa’s first-ever plug-in hybrid electric MPV (PHEV). It is a 7-seater luxury people carrier with lots of space inside.

Power:

Beneath this bold exterior lies a 2.0T plug-in hybrid powertrain producing a combined 274kW of system output, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The M8 Master has a claimed range of over 1 000km, including up to 106km of pure electric driving.

Exterior:

Well, you will not be able to not take notice of the Master8. The massive grill in front gives it a distinctive look, one that might appeal to many people or the opposite because of its dramatic styling.

At 5 212mm in length, it has a commanding stance and sculpted silhouette. Its Star Diamond Prism grille and “Lion Fang” LED signature lighting command attention.

Interior:

As much as people will have a lot to say about its exterior looks, the interior will most certainly follow suit.

Dual power sliding doors, inductive electric tailgate and tri-zone climate control create effortless luxury, while soundproof laminated glass ensures serene travel.

The unique windless air-conditioning system, a first in its class, provides silent, evenly diffused cooling.

The second-row First-Class seats redefine relaxation with 10-point air-pump massage, heating and ventilation, and four-way power adjustment.

Every surface, from the stitched dash and sculpted door panels to the premium tactile switches and ambient trims, is designed to create a sense of sophistication.

Above the driver and second-row seats is a sectional panoramic sunroof.

A 10.1-inch central infotainment screen complements the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Sound is delivered through an 8-speaker YAMAHA audio system and ADiGO virtual arena acoustics. Wireless charging and multiple USB-C ports across all rows come in handy.

Safety in the M8 Master transcends expectations. It introduces the 360° all-round airbag matrix, featuring rear windscreen airbags, longest-in-class curtain airbags, and a total of seven airbags that surround the cabin for protection.

It also boasts advanced systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Braking, to name a few.
