What is it?

The Tank 300 is a large off-roader in the GWM stable, functioning as a brand on its own, alongside the P-Series bakkie, Haval, the electric Ora and of course the Tank’s bigger brother that looks quite different from the 300 range, called the Tank 500, a large 7-seater.

Engine:

The big news is the diesel engine, now familiar as it was also introduced recently in the new P300 bakkie.

Under the hood, the 2.4L diesel mill pushes 135kW of power and 480Nm of torque, connected to a 9-Speed electronic transmission.

In comparison, the 2-litre petrol engine delivers 162kW and torque of 380Nm while the hybrid version is good for 255kW and 648Nm of torque.

The Tank 300 diesel boasts a 3-tonne towing capacity.

Off-Road Capability:

It is equipped with seven All-Terrain Driving Modes, Low-Speed 4WD and Off-Road Cruise Control. In addition, when navigating steep slopes, thick mud, or rocky trails, Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive Torque On Demand (Dual Speed) ensures controlled torque distribution.

For ultimate traction, Electronically Controlled Differential Locks on both axles engage in just 200 milliseconds at the push of a button.

See-Through Chassis functionality, via the 360-Degree Camera System, provides a clear view of obstacles beneath the vehicle, making technical off-roading easier.

Prices:

Tank 300 2.4TD Super Luxury 4x4 (R699 900) and the Tank 300 2.4TD Ultra Luxury 4x4 (R739 900).
