The new model enhances the Tiggo 8 line-up with updated styling, improved comfort, advanced technology and a stronger suite of driver-assistance features, while retaining its family-friendly seven-seat practicality.
What is it?
The Tiggo 8 Pro LS is a seven-seat SUV positioned as a modern family vehicle in Chery’s local range. It builds on the Tiggo 8’s reputation for value by offering more premium features and updated design elements. Measuring 4 745mm in length with a 2 710mm wheelbase, it provides generous cabin space and flexibility for families and active lifestyles.
Interior:
The cabin has been refreshed with dual 12.3-inch digital displays, combining a digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen for a cleaner layout. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, alongside Bluetooth, Intelligent Voice Command and a 50-watt wireless smartphone charger.
Comfort upgrades include synthetic leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, four-way lumbar support, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated air-conditioning outlets, with the third row offering independent climate control. Practicality is supported by a power-operated tailgate and luggage capacity ranging from 117litres with all seats in use to 739litres with the third row folded.
Exterior:
The Tiggo 8 Pro LS adopts a sportier front-end design and new full-width LED tail lamps. Automatic LED headlights, daytime running lights and fog lights form part of the upgraded lighting package, while heated exterior mirrors add convenience in adverse weather. Buyers can choose from three exterior colours: New Khaki White, New Carbon Black and Tech Gray.
Engine:
Power comes from a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 137kW and 275Nm of torque. Drive is channelled to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Fuel consumption is rated at 7.2L/100km on the WLTP cycle, supported by a 51-litre fuel tank for both daily commuting and longer journeys.
Price and warranty:
The Tiggo 8 Pro LS is priced at R499 900. It includes Chery’s 5-year/150 000km-vehicle warranty, a 10-year/1 million km-engine warranty for the first owner and a 5-year/75 000km-service plan. Customers also benefit from Chery’s Trans-national Warranty Programme under the Family Care umbrella, which provides warranty support across authorised service centres in global markets.
