Audi’s third generation Q3 arrives in South Africa

What is it?

The third-generation Audi Q3 strengthens Audi’s premium SUV line-up in South Africa. Positioned as a compact luxury SUV, it offers technologies previously reserved for larger models. Customers can choose between petrol and diesel powertrains, with trim levels ranging from the entry Q3 to Advanced, S line and S line Black.

Exterior:

The new Q3 adopts sharper proportions and a stronger stance. A wider Singleframe grille and tapered headlights define the front, while a horizontal shoulder line links the front and rear lights. Pronounced wheel arches and sculpted surfaces reinforce its SUV character.

At the rear, cleaner lines and diffuser elements emphasise width. The Q3 is the first in its segment to feature digital Matrix LED headlights and digital OLED rear lights, with up to four selectable light signatures. Eleven exterior colours are offered, including Sage Green metallic and Madeira Brown Polar Matte. Wheel options range from 18 to 20 inches, with Audi Sport designs available on higher trims.

Interior:

Inside, the cabin combines clean lines with premium materials. A wide dashboard and curved panoramic display create a driver-focused environment. Fabric applications on the dashboard and recycled polyester upholstery add a contemporary and sustainable touch.

Acoustic glazing improves refinement, while the sliding second row increases luggage capacity from 488 litres to 575 litres, expanding to 1 386 litres with seats folded in the SUV. Configurable ambient lighting with up to 30 colours and optional S line packages allow further personalisation.

Engines:

Two engines are offered locally. The 1.4-litre TFSI produces 110kW and 250Nm, while the 2.0-litre TDI delivers 110kW and 360Nm. Both are paired with S tronic transmission. Progressive steering and optional suspension with damper control enhance comfort and agility, says Audi.

Line-up:

The Q3 range is structured into four trims: Q3, Advanced, S line and S line Black. Standard equipment includes LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, lane departure warning, seven airbags, parking sensors, automatic air conditioning and Audi’s digital stage with an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit plus and 12.8-inch MMI touch display.

Advanced trim adds features such as a panoramic sunroof, heated sport seats and adaptive cruise control. S line introduces sportier styling and 19-inch alloy wheels, while S line Black adds black exterior detailing and Audi Sport wheels.

Optional technology packages (Tech, Tech Plus and Tech Pro) group driver assistance and convenience features, with Tech Pro introducing Trained Parking and adaptive cruise assist plus.
