Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has expanded the Amarok line-up with the addition of the most powerful version of this bakkie yet.
The new engine:
It is all under the hood, a new engine, the 2.3 turbo petrol engine with 222kW and torque of 452Nm.
The Amarok PanAmericana will be offered with a 10-speed automatic transmission. A top speed of 180km/h and 0 – 100km/h in 7.6 seconds are claimed.
Interior:
The Amarok PanAmericana 4Motion® is offered with standard features such as 12-inch Active Info Display, Digital Instrument cluster and a premium Harman Kardon sound system with eight speakers and Bluetooth connectivity.
The driver and front passenger seats have an electric 10-way adjustment. There is a Multi-Collision brake system, Rear view camera, 360° “Area view“ camera, Adaptive Cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Assist and Blindspot Monitoring.
Exterior:
From the outside, there are a towing hitch, LED Matrix Headlights, IQ.Headlights with high-beam control, styling bar and power roller-shutter for the load box and 18-inch alloy wheels all-terrain tyres.
Volkswagen says the price will be confirmed closer to the launch date.
