JHB871 - Passenger Vehicle Parts Salesman
Our client is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Passenger Vehicle Parts Salesman to join their dealership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and supplying the correct vehicle parts to both workshop and retail customers, ensuring excellent customer service while contributing to departmental sales and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct vehicle parts
- Process parts sales for workshop, trade and retail customers
- Prepare accurate quotations and invoices
- Source parts that are not available in stock
- Follow up on outstanding parts orders and keep customers informed
- Maintain accurate records of parts sales and orders
- Ensure stock is correctly allocated and issued
- Promote additional parts and accessories where appropriate
- Assist with stock control, stock counts and inventory management
- Keep the parts department clean, organised and well presented
- Work closely with the workshop and service departments to ensure parts are supplied timeously
- Ensure all transactions are processed accurately using the dealer management system
- Meet departmental sales and customer service objectives
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Parts Salesman within a passenger vehicle dealership
- Good knowledge of passenger vehicle parts and accessories
- Computer literate with experience using a dealer management system
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Motor industry experience Essential
