JHB 964 - CRM / Lead Generator – Motor Dealership
Note: Must be fluent in Afrikaans
A well-established and highly successful franchised motor dealership is seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and target-driven CRM / Lead Generator to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, nurturing, and managing prospective vehicle buyers while creating quality sales opportunities for the dealership's New and Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Executives. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong CRM management abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service throughout the customer journey.
Lead Generation & Inquiry Management
- Respond rapidly to customer enquiries received via dealership websites, AutoTrader, Cars.co.za, social media platforms, walk-ins, telephone calls, and other marketing channels
- Ensure prompt contact with all incoming leads to maximise conversion opportunities
- Generate new sales opportunities through proactive customer engagement
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, WhatsApp communications, and follow-ups on marketing campaigns, previous enquiries, trade-in requests, and dormant database leads
Lead Qualification
- Qualify prospective buyers by understanding:
- Vehicle requirements and preferences
- Purchase timelines
- Budget and affordability
- Trade-in requirements
- Financing requirements and eligibility
- Gather detailed customer information to support the sales process
- Identify high-intent prospects and sales opportunities
CRM Management & Customer Relationship Building
- Accurately capture, maintain, and update all customer information within the dealership CRM system
- Record customer interactions, follow-up activities, and lead statuses
- Schedule showroom appointments, sales consultations, and test drives
- Ensure all leads are managed according to dealership processes and standards
- Maintain a well-organised and accurate customer database
Lead Nurturing & Customer Retention
- Maintain regular communication with prospective customers who are not yet ready to purchase
- Implement structured follow-up campaigns to keep customers engaged
- Assist with customer retention initiatives and promotional campaigns
- Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
Sales Team Support
- Warmly hand overqualified prospects to New and Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Executives
- Provide detailed notes and customer requirements to support successful vehicle sales
- Work closely with the sales management team to maximise lead conversion rates
- Assist in achieving dealership sales objectives
Digital & Social Media Monitoring
- Monitor online platforms, classified advertisements, website enquiries, and social media channels for potential sales opportunities
- Engage with prospective customers and respond to inquiries professionally
- Support dealership marketing initiatives and campaigns
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly lead generation activities
- Monitor lead sources, conversion rates, appointment bookings, and sales outcomes
- Prepare activity and performance reports for management
- Assist management in evaluating marketing effectiveness and return on investment
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be fluent in Afrikaans
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Previous experience within a motor dealership CRM, lead generation, telesales, BDC, customer service, call centre, or sales support environment
- Automotive dealership experience will be highly advantageous
- Excellent telephonic communication and customer engagement skills
- Strong computer literacy with CRM system experience
- Ability to handle a high volume of customer interactions and follow-ups
- Well-presented and professional
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Familiarity with vehicle finance and credit application processes will be advantageous
- Valid driver's licence preferred
