Job Title JHB 961/962/963 - Dealership Accountant
A leading and highly successful automotive dealership representing a well-established international brand is seeking an experienced Dealership Accountant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who has previous motor dealership experience and is looking to grow their career with a top-performing brand.
Remuneration: Basic Salary: R20,000 – R35,000 (depending on experience) + Monthly Performance Incentive based on dealership-specific KPI achievements (Historical earnings have been up to 25% of basic salary) + Company Vehicle + Fuel Allowance + Medical Aid + Provident Fund.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Monitor and control dealership financial performance
- Manage cash flow, budgets, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer and company financial policies
- Oversee debtors, creditors, bank reconciliations, and general ledger controls
- Assist management with financial analysis and strategic decision-making
- Prepare for audits and ensure all financial records are maintained accurately
- Manage and monitor dealership KPI performance and reporting requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Dealership Accountant within a franchised motor dealership
- Strong understanding of dealership accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience working on CDK (Keyloop) and Automate dealership management systems is essential
- Excellent knowledge of month-end procedures, management accounts, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Strong reconciliation, cash-flow management, and general ledger experience
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Relevant accounting qualification will be advantageous
