JHB 899 Truck Junior Parts Sales Administrator - Warehouse Assistant (Internal Sales)
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Junior Parts Sales Administrator / Warehouse Assistant to support a trucking company’s Parts Department. The successful candidate will assist with internal parts sales, stock control, warehouse operations, customer service, and administration.
This role is ideal for a candidate looking to grow within the commercial vehicle and truck parts industry. The position offers a basic salary plus commission on parts sales.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, eager to learn, customer-focused, and comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment. A passion for trucks, parts, and sales, with the ambition to develop into a senior Parts Sales Consultant role over time.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Parts Sales
- Assist customers and workshop staff with parts enquiries
- Identify and source truck parts using parts catalogues and systems
- Prepare quotations and estimates
- Process parts sales orders accurately
- Follow up on quotations and customer requests
- Promote parts and accessories to increase sales
Administration
- Capture sales orders and invoices
- Maintain accurate customer and stock records
- Assist with daily reporting and filing
- Process credit notes and returns where required
- Ensure all documentation is accurately completed
Warehouse Duties
- Receive and check incoming stock
- Pick, pack, and issue parts correctly
- Assist with stock counts and stocktakes
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
- Ensure stock is stored safely and accurately
Customer Service
- Provide professional and friendly service to customers
- Assist workshop and service departments with urgent parts requirements
- Handle customer queries efficiently
- Build positive relationships with customers and suppliers
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Computer literacy
- 1-2 years’ experience in Parts Sales, Stores, Warehouse and Automotive Administration
- Experience within a truck, commercial vehicle environment
- Previous internal sales experience beneficial
- MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience on a Dealer Management System (DMS) advantageous
- Motor Industry experience Essential!
