Financial Manager
We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager to take responsibility for the financial management and control of two automotive brands, working alongside another Financial Manager.
The successful candidate must have solid financial management experience and be comfortable managing the full finance function, reporting, controls, budgets, compliance and operational financial performance.
Previous experience within the motor/automotive industry will be advantageous but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full financial responsibility for two brands within the group.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day finance function.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and month-end processes.
- Manage budgets, forecasts and financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, profitability and financial performance.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure effective financial controls, policies and procedures are maintained.
- Manage debtors, creditors and related financial processes.
- Oversee VAT, tax and statutory financial requirements.
- Prepare financial reports and provide commentary on variances and performance.
- Work closely with operational management to support business decisions.
- Identify financial risks, cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial legislation.
- Work closely with the other Financial Manager to ensure consistency across the brands.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or Financial Management.
- Proven Financial Management experience is essential.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Advantageous
- Previous experience within the motor, automotive or dealership industry.
- Experience managing finances across multiple brands, branches or business units.
- Experience working within a group finance structure.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a commercially minded and hands-on Financial Manager who can take ownership of the finance function for two brands, maintain strong financial controls and provide accurate reporting and meaningful financial insight to management. They should be confident working independently while collaborating closely with the Group Financial Manager and wider finance team.
