BYD brings affordable PHEV SUV to the market

Volvo Car South Africa revealed a customised “Adventure Beast’ edition of the renowned XC90 at the 2024 Festival of Motoring, alongside showcasing the high-performance EX30 Twin Motor Performance on the track.
In addition to these highlights, Volvo will provide exclusive offers to customers throughout the event weekend, reinforcing a commitment to delivering exceptional value and innovative experiences.
Billed as the largest industry-supported automotive show on the African continent, the Festival of Motoring will take place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Gauteng from today (30 August) to 1 September 2024.
Volvo’s special offers will be available to attendees of the Festival of Motoring. To qualify for any of these promotions, customers need only to sign up their interest during the Festival of Motoring weekend and complete their vehicle purchase in the month of September 2024.
In addition to the exclusive offers, Volvo will showcase a unique edition of the XC90, known as the "Adventure Beast", at the House of Volvo. This model follows in the footsteps of the 2019 "The Beast" and the XC60-based "The Beast 2.0" unveiled at the 2022 Festival of Motoring.
Developed in collaboration with fellow Swedish company Thule, the "Adventure Beast" is equipped with a range of Thule accessories, including the Approach M rooftop tent, alongside other enhancements like larger 20-inch all-terrain tyres. This collaboration highlights the XC90’s versatility, positioning it as the ideal luxury vehicle for outdoor enthusiasts in South Africa.
The Swedish luxury firm will also provide showgoers with an opportunity to experience the EX30 Twin Motor Performance on the renowned Grand Prix track. The 315 kW fully electric vehicle will be available for participants to test its acceleration, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.
