Solera Audatex empowers 600 trainees in SA’s repair industry

Solera Audatex, a global player in vehicle life-cycle management, has reached a significant milestone in its growth and impact on the South African market. In 2024, the company invested in upskilling the South African automotive repair industry and trained 569 students on-site and an additional 112 students through its online platform, called Solera University.

Following enhancements to its in-person training programme, including the introduction of live vehicle repair demonstrations, trainee feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with trainees sharing that “The best part of the training was having car parts at the training centre and putting theory into practice, allowing us to see different steps of the repair process and painting.”

Jermaine Davids, the Southern Africa Claims Director and Chairperson of the SA Employee Trust at Solera Audatex South Africa, says they are pleased with the success of the training programmes, achieving an impressive 9.9 NPS. “But we’re not stopping there; we’re committed to taking the training experience to the next level,” he states.

He adds: “Our advanced analytics tools deliver in-depth reporting for approximately eight unique customer segments, providing critical data on parts movement, mutation trends, assessment breakdowns (parts, labour and paint), and write-off insights and much more.”

Solera Audatex is also championing sustainability in the automotive repair industry by increasing access to green parts through its network, which offer substantial cost and environmental benefits. Green parts provide up to 22% savings over new parts, and sourcing time is reduced by 70%, making them a win-win for both the environment and businesses.

“With over 100 reports distributed monthly, we equip our clients with the clarity and control they need to proactively manage their business, optimise costs, enhance efficiency and improve decision-making,” says Jermaine.

Solera Audatex South Africa extends beyond technology; it is also strengthening its market presence through strategic partnerships and transformation initiatives. Through four lines of business – Vehicle Claims, Vehicle Repairs, Vehicle Solutions and Fleet Solutions, Solera Audatex continues to leverage its global data expertise, processing over 1 million claims daily worldwide, to drive innovation and efficiency in South Africa’s vehicle repair sector, it states.
