Omoda & Jaecoo and Absa join hands in new partnership

OMODA & JAECOO announced a new partnership with Absa, a collaboration aimed at providing South African new-car buyers with fuss-free vehicle finance solutions.

At the start of June 2024, the fast-growing automotive marques, which are together known as Brand O&J – entered into a vehicle-finance alliance agreement with what is one of Africa’s largest diversified financial services groups. And lo and behold, OMODA JAECOO Finance, a product of Absa, was born.

“We’re incredibly excited to announce this partnership with Absa, a highly respected financial institution that we believe is fast becoming the bank of choice in the automotive industry,” says Shannon Gahagan, National Brand and Marketing Manager OMODA & JAECOO.

“The comprehensive financing options that result from this partnership will help to make our already very attractively priced vehicles even more accessible for local customers. As such, fans of Brand O&J should keep their eyes peeled for exciting credit offers in the near future,” Shannon adds.

Brand O&J has already made a firm impression on the local market. In April 2023, South Africa became the first country on the African continent to welcome the OMODA brand, with its C5. The limited-edition C5 GT was added to the line-up in November of that year.

Later in 2024, the OMODA range will grow with the arrival of the highly anticipated C9 luxury flagship as well as the fully electric E5, while the new C7 is also on the cards for a local introduction at some point further down the line.

Meanwhile, newly established urban off-road SUV brand, JAECOO, launched its first model in the country as recently as April 2024 with South Africa the first right-hand-drive market to launch the J7 as well as the very first in Africa.

In addition to the three-strong J7 line-up, the JAECOO portfolio is poised to welcome more models in the coming months. Local customers can expect to see the J8 PHEV arrive later in 2024, with the new J6 likewise in the pipeline for a local introduction. More details about these models will be released closer to their respective dates of arrival.
