No decision yet, says DTSA about merger reports

DTSA has noticed the recent media reports regarding the potential merger between Daimler Truck and Toyota and would like to emphasise that some information presented needs to be clarified.

As previously disclosed in our announcement dated 30 May 2023, titled, “Daimler Truck, Mitsubishi Fuso, Hino and Toyota Motor Corporation conclude an MoU on accelerating development of Advanced Technologies and merging Mitsubishi Fuso and Hino Motors”, the possibility of a business integration is being explored.

However, as of now, no decisions have been made regarding the final agreement, the timing of the holding company's IPO, the equity ownership ratio or voting rights ratio in the holding company, or the accounting treatment of the holding company, as mentioned in some articles. If any facts requiring disclosure are determined, Daimler Truck will promptly disclose them.
