Since launching locally, Geely has gained notable traction, with South African consumers responding positively to its mix of technology, quality and value. The company has signalled plans to broaden its presence further, including the introduction of additional brands to its portfolio. The appointment of Greg is intended to support this growth by adding experienced oversight to local operations, the manufacturer claims.

Greg brings considerable industry experience, having held senior roles both internationally and within South Africa. His background spans multiple aspects of the automotive sector, positioning him to guide Geely’s operations as the company scales. Commenting on his new role, he says he is incredibly excited to be joining Geely at a time when so much has already been achieved, while the vision for South Africa over the coming years is both ambitious and inspiring.

Allen Yang, CEO of Geely Auto South Africa, and Milo Yao, Deputy General Manager, welcomed the appointment, noting that Greg’s expertise will be valuable as the company continues to build on its early momentum. They emphasised that his leadership would help drive Geely’s ambition to become a leading automotive brand in South Africa.

The timing of this appointment reflects Geely’s focus on consolidating its dealer network, enhancing customer experience and expanding its product offering. With Maruszewski now in place, the company is positioning itself to sustain growth and reinforce its presence in a competitive market.
