Commenting on the donation, Andreas Brand, Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-South Africa and Executive Director of Manufacturing, said:, “Beyond our core business activities, we are committed to corporate social responsibility, and we pride ourselves in making tangible contributions in our communities. Today’s donation demonstrates our commitment to use our resources to enable NPOs to be agents of positive social change.”

The vehicles donated will support the charitable organisations with transport, the delivery of educational materials and extracurricular activities, and will enable easier access to communities and beneficiaries across their scope of work.

African Angels Independent School receives a Mercedes-Benz Vito donation from MBSA.

Among the deserving recipients of this donation are Kid Links Small Farm Incubator, Land of the Living, African Angels Independent School, Rally to Read, Waves for Change, Border Cricket and Sporting Chance.

These organisations align with MBSA’s corporate social responsibility focus areas of education, community upliftment, youth empowerment, sport for development and environmental sustainability, among others.

“We wish to thank Mercedes-Benz South Africa for the most generous contribution to our cause and for its commitment to making a difference in the community. The difference and benefit this will bring to our programme are not only tangible but its impact will be felt for a long time,” said Lou Billet, Founder and Chairperson of the African Angels Independent School.
