Mazda Southern Africa has promoted Kyron Pather to Head of Operations (Sales & Service). The appointment strengthens the company's operational leadership as it looks to improve performance across its dealer network and aftersales business.
Kyron previously served as General Manager of the Parts Business, where he held full responsibility for the national OEM parts operation. In this role, he drove measurable improvements in parts availability, inventory management, and dealer service levels.
He also worked directly with Mazda Motor Corporation and global supply partners to improve supply chain efficiency, maintain pricing competitiveness, and align local operations with global standards. His ability to combine operational discipline with a commercial focus strengthened Mazda's aftersales performance in the market during his tenure, Mazda says.
In his new role, he will oversee Sales, Service, and Parts operations across the region. His remit includes driving alignment across these business units and ensuring consistent quality in both the customer and dealer experience. His appointment reflects the company's intention to build a more integrated operational structure at senior level.
Managing Director Bonite van der Merwe says Kyron has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and a clear commitment to both the brand and its customers.
Kyron adds that he looks forward to working closely with internal teams and dealer partners to continue delivering exceptional customer experiences and building on Mazda's strong foundation in the market.
