As Lepas prepares to launch its premium SUV range in South Africa in the first quarter of 2026, the brand is highlighting its commitment to after-sales service by leveraging the proven, tangible assets of its parent brand, Chery.
This established infrastructure provides an unparalleled foundation for premium customer care in the South African market.
The operational backbone for Lepas includes a central parts warehouse exceeding 6 000 square metres, stocking over R180 million in genuine inventory and achieving more than 98% part fulfilment rate to ensure rapid availability.
A streamlined logistics system enables delivery to major centres like Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town within 48 hours. Furthermore, Lepas inherits access to a nationwide network of over 330 certified paint and body repair centres, and a 24-hour roadside assistance programme. This ecosystem already supports over 100 000 Chery Group vehicle owners nationally.
“After-sales service is a critical part of the Lepas experience,” said Jay Jay Botes, General Manager of Lepas South Africa. “Our goal is to ensure that every customer feels confident and supported from beyond the point of purchase. We are leveraging Chery’s proven systems and expertise, while tailoring the experience to meet the expectations of premium SUV owners in South Africa.”
Supporting this are dedicated technical training centres in Boksburg and Sandton, staffed by specialised teams, which will ensure all LEPAS technicians are equipped to maintain the brand's high standards.
Lepas dealerships, currently under construction and on track for the 2026 launch, will feature purpose-built service centres designed to provide a seamless, efficient and premium customer experience.
“Our dealers are preparing to offer an after-sales experience that matches the quality and sophistication of the vehicles themselves,” Jay Jay adds. “This is about more than repairs or maintenance. It’s about building trust, ensuring peace of mind, and creating lifelong relationships with our customers.”
By combining this concrete technical infrastructure and expertise with a locally tailored, high-touch service model, Lepas is setting a new standard for after-sales in South Africa’s premium automotive market.
