Daimler Truck Southern Africa (DTSA) has announced leadership changes within the DTSA Board of Directors, the Executive Committee and the Finance & Controlling Team by welcoming Piérre Kriek as the incoming CFO of the DTSA Group, effective 1 November 2025.
Piérre is currently Head of Finance and Controlling for Daimler Truck Overseas (DTO), a position he has held since 2022 as a member of the DTO Executive Committee.
Piérre began his career with Daimler in 2000, based in South Africa, where he quickly established himself as a dynamic and forward-thinking finance leader. Over the past two decades, he has held a wide range of leadership roles across the Daimler Truck organisation, including multiple CFO positions in diverse international markets such as Europe, Asia and Latin America.
In each of his roles, Piérre has demonstrated a strong strategic mindset, driving operational efficiency, enhancing financial transparency and supporting long-term business growth. His ability to align financial strategy with broader organisational goals has made him a trusted advisor and key contributor to executive teams across the globe.
Importantly, Piérre brings with him a profound knowledge of the South African market, having started his career here, and he has maintained close ties with the region throughout his journey.
“I’m honoured to take on the role of CFO at DTSA, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to return to South Africa, a place where my journey with Daimler began 25 years ago. It’s both exciting and meaningful to reconnect with the region that lies extremely close to my heart, while contributing to a business that continues to play a vital role in the local and global transport landscape,” he says.
Peter Kendzorra, who has served as CFO at DTSA since March 2020, will be taking on a new assignment within the Daimler Truck Finance organisation at the end of 2025. He has been an integral part of the DTSA family for more than five years, contributing significantly as a member of the board of directors, DTSA ExCom and the DTO Finance Organisation.
Maretha Gerber, President and Group CEO of DTSA, says that at the same time, she would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to Peter Kendzorra for his outstanding leadership and dedication over the past five years. “Peter has played a pivotal role in shaping DTSA.
