RZ electrical vehicle from Lexus makes local debut
Lexus South Africa new RZ, the brand’s first globally available, purpose-built battery electric vehicle (BEV), has arrived on local shores.

With their second and third shipments on their way, the newly introduced LDV already has vehicles ready for their first customers. The company is also well on its way to establishing a dealer network across the country and still has availability for dealerships in certain areas.

The manufacturer boasts a 5-year/200 000 km factory warranty and a 5-year/100 000 km service plan as standard, across the product range of SUVs, vans and pick-ups.

The T60 Pick-up range features a host of premium amenities, including a Reversing Camera, 3-Ton Braked Towing Capacity, 10.25” Touch-Screen Entertainment System, six Airbags, TPMS, Apple CarPlay®, Cruise Control, and LED Daytime Running Lights. The T60 range can be seen at LDV in Bryanston, 2985 Winnie Mandela Drive.

Next to be introduced to the South African market will be the D90, a spacious 7-seater family SUV featuring a powerful two-litre turbo diesel engine delivering 160 kW and 500 Nm of torque. It’s equipped with a 4x4 drive system and full LED headlights at the front and rear. The D90 boasts a 5-Star ANCAP safety rating.
Coming soon is the G90 people mover, equipped with a 2-litre turbocharged engine producing 160 kW. This model features an 8-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels. The G90 will be offered with 7 or 8 seats, depending on the chosen specification.
Additionally, LDV is excited to add the G10+ Delivery Van, offering a 1-ton loading capacity and ample cargo space of 52m³. This van features a 2-litre diesel engine, two sliding doors for easy access and an automatic gearbox for smooth operation.
