Knysna Motor Show 2021 cancelled

The 2021 Knysna Motor Show (KMS) has been cancelled owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

With the show scheduled to take place on 2 May 2021, the organising committee recently met to evaluate the different options of postponing, cancelling or going ahead with the show.

According to Peter Pretorius, the show’s chief organiser and chairman of the Garden Route Motor Club (GRMC), it was a sad, tough decision to make, but done in the best interest of all the parties involved in organising the event, as well as the participants and the public.

“A further consideration was the lead-time required to organise the event and the cost implications should we not get the full support from everyone involved,” Pretorius said in a statement. “It looks like 2021 is going to be another year where the public will avoid gatherings and petrol heads like us not being able to enjoy our passion.”

The Garden Route Motor Club will announce the date of the next Knysna Motor Show later this year. For more information on the Club visit www.grmc.co.za
