Daimler Truck AG ("Daimler Truck"), Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation ("Mitsubishi Fuso"), Toyota Motor Corporation ("Toyota") and Hino Motors Ltd ("Hino") entered into definitive agreements for the integration of Mitsubishi Fuso and Hino.

Further details about the nature and scope of the cooperation, including the name of the new holding company, are expected to be announced in the coming months. The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of the relevant bodies, shareholders and authorities.
Commercial vehicles support everyday life by transporting people and goods and are an important form of mobility that can be considered "social infrastructure". With this collaboration, the four companies are embarking on a constructive path to shaping the future of commercial vehicles. Based on a shared desire to "contribute to a prosperous society through mobility", the four companies are continuing their collaboration and are now pleased to announce the exciting next phase.
By integrating Mitsubishi Fuso and Hino Motors, the companies aim to improve economic efficiency in areas such as development, procurement and production. They expect this to significantly increase the competitiveness of Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturers and strengthen the foundation of the automotive industry in Japan and Asia.
The new holding company is intended to contribute to customers, various stakeholders and the automotive industry by contributing to solution finding in areas such as CO2 neutrality and logistics efficiency in commercial vehicles, and it aims to realize a sustainable and prosperous mobility society through the development of CASE technologies ("Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric"), including hydrogen, and to strengthen the commercial vehicle business globally.
